Carmen Munoz
Carmen Munoz began writing this book during the ride home after
her family drove from Texas to New Jersey to bring her back home from New York. Not only is Carmen a 9/11 survivor, but the suit she is
wearing in the picture endured the test of time, too. It is the suit she wore
on that terrifying day, the day that changed America forever: Tuesday, September 11, 2001, and for four days after.
She began writing "Character of the Soul", immediately after
leaving New
York because her
inner voice challenged her to do so. However the book was not completed until
six revisions and four years later. Carmen is currently an active member of the
Writers' League of Texas. She is
an independent consultant who founded her own company Writers' Choice
Publishing in 2005.
Another passion that Carmen enjoys is traveling. As a result of
this passion she founded her own travel agency ISD Cruises in 1993. Even though
the traveling industry came to an abrupt halt after September 11, 2001, she knew her business would succeed because of the charge,
enthusiasm and energy she emits when assisting her customers with their travel
plans. Carmen is a master cruise counselor and an active member of Cruise Line International
Association (CLIA).
Carmen grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and moved to Texas in 1989. She has a
degree in Liberal Arts. She is a wife, a mother (two daughters) and a grandmommie
(four grandchildren). |
